What is humic acid?

One. What is humic acid?

Humic acid is a mixture of natural organic macromolecular compounds. Widely found in nature, the proportion

of humic acid in soil is the biggest, this mixture is natural, with a high molecular weight, yellow to black, amorphous, gelatinous, fatty and aromatic organic polyelectrolyte, not expressed in a single chemical formula.

Two. Where does humic acid come from?

1. Soil humus is inherenta mixture of a large class of macromolecular organic compounds formed by plants under

 the action of microorganisms.

2. Coal humic acid is after a microbial chemical decomposition and conversion of plants and a long period of geological

and chemical action, thus forming a mixtures of macromolecular organic compounds.

Three. Structure function of humic acid

1. Structure

Humic acid is an organic weak acid, it consists of three parts: fulvic acid, black humic acid and brown humic acid.

2. Elemental composition

Humic acids in coal and humic acids in soil organic matter have similar structures and properties, the main elements of

humic acids are carbon, hydrogen, and a small amount of nitrogen and sulfur.
